The Spot-On Model

Energy isn’t tangible, yet everyone can sense when it is drained and when it is gained.

The Spot-On Model reveals where your energy is low, and how you can restore its natural flow.

The Spot-On Model explained

Spot-On maps the energy flow of how you communicate and make choices in a specific situation. You can use it as a guide to positively influence your own life (-energy) as well as that of others. The Spot-On Model works with 2 axes:

  1. CONNECTION: To what extent are you connected with yourself (‘one’) or with others (‘oneness’);
  2. TIME FOCUS: to what extent do you focus on now (‘for now’) or on the long term (‘forever’).
Find your spot!

The Spot-On Axes explained

Your whole life can be mapped on the two Spot-On axes:

THE HORIZONTAL AXIS ('CONNECTION')

The horizontal axis represents with whom you connect.

On the left side is ONE, where you connect more with yourself (‘I’). Here you are self-connected, assertive and independent. You communicate privately and make autonomous decisions.

On the right side is ‘ONENESS’ – think of it as ‘WE’. Here you connect deeply with others and communicate openly. You seek consensus and decide through consultation.

Some people gain energy from focusing on themselves. Others gain energy from focusing on others. There is no right or wrong. Spot-On is not prescriptive — it is about consciously living your energy flow.

THE VERTICAL AXIS ('TIME FOCUS')

The vertical axis reflects your focus on time. At the top is ‘FOR NOW’, where you focus on the short term. Here you act practically, grounded and tangible. Your decisions are ad hoc.

At the bottom is ‘FOREVER’. This is where you focus on the long term and the overall process. Here you are reflective, visionary, and/or spiritual, thinking in terms of processes and visions of the future. You think in processes and future visions. Decisions are made with the long run in mind.Your communication is narrative and abstract.

Some people gain energy by focusing on the temporary, while others gain energy by focusing on the long run. Again, there is no ‘wrong’ or ‘right’.
